Meet the ELC Team

With many years of experience, the team at Eagles Landing is dedicated to providing you children with the most authentic and fun-filled camp experience that you can find anywhere. Meet the ELC team below, and learn a little bit about what makes the Eagles Landing experience so great.


Matthew is the full-time, year-round director of all ELC programs. He grew up as a camp director’s son, at Breezemont Day Camp in Armonk, NY and has been in camping since age three. He was a camper and staff member at Camp Winadu for seven summers. Matt later worked his way through the ranks to become Assistant Director at Camp Laurel (1993) and Raquette Lake Boys Camp (1994) before becoming Assistant Director at Breezemont Day Camp in Westchester County, New York (1996 & 1997). In 1998 he moved to the Boca Raton area to start Eagles Landing Camps. Matt earned his B.A. (Business) from Skidmore College and his MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration. He also earned a degree in Education from Concordia College and is a long time member of the American Camping Association. He serves on the SCOPE Committee (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) in South Florida. Matt lives in the Boca Raton area with his two daughters, Drew and Ava.

Matthew Cannold

Founder/Director – Affiliated Since 1998

TRACI CICCONE

Director of Night Owls & Day Camp – Affiliated Since 1999

Traci has been a part of the ELC family since 1999. She spent five summers as a Group Leader before moving to New York. Traci worked at Breezemont Day Camp in Armonk, NY for one summer. Traci received her BA degree from Florida Atlantic University in Elementary Education and earned her Masters in Reading Education from Walden University. She taught 2nd grade at the North Broward Preparatory School before joining the Eagles Landing family full time in the fall of 2015. Traci is married to Bobby Ciccone, our Night Owls Director after the two met at ELC as counselors in 2000. Traci and Bobby live in Boynton Beach with their two children Carly and Brayden.

Jen joined ELC as a Group Leader, but now is our full time Office Manager and head of our summertime HQ. We are certain that you all remember her smiling face each and every time you come to camp. JEN KRAUTMAN

Office Manager – Affiliated Since 2013

Jen joined ELC as a Group Leader, but now is our full time Office Manager and head of our summertime HQ. We are certain that you all remember her smiling face each and every time you come to camp. Jen’s background is in teaching and she was an assistant at B’nai Israel for the for three years. With this experience, she has brought energy, organization, and kindness to ELC. Jen earned her degree from FAU in 1996 and now lives in Boca Raton.

Paul joined the ELC family in 2012, after earning his Masters in Education from West Virginia University. Over the years, he has had a wide variety of titles, such as sports specialist, color war general, bunk leader, and division leader. He has also assisted in creating the smart phone application and assists in regulating ELC’s social media. As Assistant Director, he spends his summer days supporting both day camp and night owls. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with staff and campers alike. Paul currently lives in Boynton Beach, FL and teaches 5th grade in the Palm Beach County Schools

PAUL MCCORMICK

Night Owls Assistant Director – Affiliated Since 2012

Paul joined the ELC family in 2012, after earning his Masters in Education from West Virginia University. Over the years, he has had a wide variety of titles, such as sports specialist, color war general, bunk leader, and division leader. He has also assisted in creating the smart phone application and assists in regulating ELC’s social media. As Assistant Director, he spends his summer days supporting both day camp and night owls. SHARI PARSON

Day Camp/Program Director – Affiliated Since 1998

LAURIE VECKER

Director of Junior Camp – Affiliated Since 2000

Laurie has been affiliated with Eagles Landing Camps since 2000. She has been a Group Leader, Transportation Leader, Color War General and currently Junior Campus Leader. Laurie holds a BS Degree in Child Development and Business Communications. She is currently a Pre-School teacher in the Boca Raton area. Both her children, Rachel and Zach attended Eagles Landing and The Night Owls, and later became staff members. Laurie and her husband Barry live in Parkland.

Jess always makes sure the Night Owl girls are comfortable and having the best time. She has worked as a Bunk Counselor, Division Leader, and now Night Owls and Day Camp Assistant Director. JESSICA BOSTON

Night Owl Girls Assistant Director – Affiliated Since 2011

Jess always makes sure the Night Owl girls are comfortable and having the best time. She has worked as a Bunk Counselor, Division Leader, and now Night Owls and Day Camp Assistant Director. Jess’s warmth, compassion, and ability to relate to all the girls has made her a favorite for many years. Jess is a 1st grade teacher at North Broward Preparatory School.
