Meet the ELC Team

With many years of experience, the team at Eagles Landing is dedicated to providing you children with the most authentic and fun-filled camp experience that you can find anywhere. Meet the ELC team below, and learn a little bit about what makes the Eagles Landing experience so great.


Matthew is the full-time, year-round director of all ELC programs. He grew up as a camp director’s son, at Breezemont Day Camp in Armonk, NY and has been in camping since age three. He was a camper and staff member at Camp Winadu for seven summers. Matt later worked his way through the ranks to become Assistant Director at Camp Laurel (1993) and Raquette Lake Boys Camp (1994) before becoming Assistant Director at Breezemont Day Camp in Westchester County, New York (1996 & 1997). In 1998 he moved to the Boca Raton area to start Eagles Landing Camps. Matt earned his B.A. (Business) from Skidmore College and his MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration. He also earned a degree in Education from Concordia College and is a long time member of the American Camping Association. He serves on the SCOPE Committee (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) in South Florida. Matt lives in the Boca Raton area with his two daughters, Drew and Ava.

Matthew Cannold

Founder/Director – Affiliated Since 1998

BOBBY CICCONE

Director of Night Owls & Day Camp – Affiliated Since 1999

Bob joined the ELC family in 1999. He worked as a group Leader for four summers before moving to New York for two years. While in NY, Bob continued his camp career by spending two summers at Breezemont Day Camp in Armonk, NY. Bob’s love for summer camp really started during his childhood while attending various sports camps. Throughout his teen and college years he worked at Camp Cedarcliff in Poughkeepsie, NY. TRACI CICCONE

Director of Night Owls & Day Camp – Affiliated Since 1999

Traci has been a part of the ELC family since 1999. She spent five summers as a Group Leader before moving to New York. Traci worked at Breezemont Day Camp in Armonk, NY for one summer. Traci received her BA degree from Florida Atlantic University in Elementary Education and earned her Masters in Reading Education from Walden University. She taught 2nd grade at the North Broward Preparatory School before joining the Eagles Landing family full time in the fall of 2015. BRANDON BOSTON

Brandon joined the ELC family in 2005. He was one of our first staff members from Bethany College. From that time until now he has held many different positions at ELC. BRANDON BOSTON

Director of Eagles Landing International – Affiliated Since 2005

Brandon joined the ELC family in 2005. He was one of our first staff members from Bethany College. From that time until now he has held many different positions at ELC. Liza joined the ELC family during the summer of 2015 in HQ as an assistant office manager. LIZA VESTAL

Assistant Director/Office Manager – Affiliated Since 2015

Liza joined the ELC family during the summer of 2015 in HQ as an assistant office manager. Now, she resides as our full-time Office Manager and is in charge of the very important Summertime HQ. Liza is a lifelong camper, first attending day camp in New York’s Hudson Valley and later spending her summers at sleep-away camp in Southfield, MA, as both a camper and counselor. Liza lives in Boca Raton with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Trey and Rylie.

SHARI PARSON

Day Camp/Program Director – Affiliated Since 1998

In 1997 while looking for a day camp in the Boca Raton area for her two young sons, Shari took a tour of Eagles Landing Camps and was so impressed with its programs, she not only registered her children, she asked for a job! “When I walked onto the campus, I had a sense of familiarity, it reminded me of the camps I had been associated with in NY. Michelle has been part of the ELC family since the summer of 2000. During this time, she has been one of our most dynamic and trusted Group Leaders. She fell in love with ELC and our traditions immediately. Currently, Michelle is a 5th grade teacher and has been an educator at many elementary grade levels for the past 16 years. She and her husband, Adam, have two amazing children, Morgan and Ben.

MICHELLE GOLDMAN

Program Director – Affiliated Since 2000

Michelle has been part of the ELC family since the summer of 2000. During this time, she has been one of our most dynamic and trusted Group Leaders. She fell in love with ELC and our traditions immediately. Currently, Michelle is a 5th grade teacher and has been an educator at many elementary grade levels for the past 16 years. She and her husband, Adam, have two amazing children, Morgan and Ben.

Laurie has been affiliated with Eagles Landing Camps since 2000. She has been a Group Leader, Transportation Leader, Color War General and currently Junior Campus Leader. Laurie holds a BS Degree in Child Development and Business Communications. She is currently a Pre-School teacher in the Boca Raton area. Both her children, Rachel and Zach attended Eagles Landing and The Night Owls, and later became staff members. Laurie and her husband Barry live in Parkland.

LAURIE VECKER

Director of Junior Camp – Affiliated Since 2000

Laurie has been affiliated with Eagles Landing Camps since 2000. She has been a Group Leader, Transportation Leader, Color War General and currently Junior Campus Leader. Laurie holds a BS Degree in Child Development and Business Communications. She is currently a Pre-School teacher in the Boca Raton area. Both her children, Rachel and Zach attended Eagles Landing and The Night Owls, and later became staff members. Laurie and her husband Barry live in Parkland.

Ellyn has been part of our ELC family since 2005. She is officially in charge of ELC’s Arts and Crafts, but is actually our Spirit Captain. ELLYN MAYOR

Arts and Crafts Director – Affiliated Since 2005

Ellyn has been part of our ELC family since 2005. She is officially in charge of ELC’s Arts and Crafts, but is actually our Spirit Captain. She loves to get creative and messy with the campers and be a part of every piece of ELC. Her favorite summertime words are “Mess it up… dress it up.” Ellyn resides in Parkland with her 2 daughters, Gabby and Sammy, and her husband, Jess. Ellyn’s dream in life is to be on an ELC Color War team.
